About the role

As an Area Manager at Screwfix you will oversee up to 22 stores across the South‑East of England, driving performance and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will work closely with Branch Managers, providing coaching and strategic direction to help each store reach its full potential.

Key responsibilities

Lead and develop Branch Managers to build high‑performing teams.
Use sales, KPI and financial data to identify growth opportunities and manage risk.
Champion a customer‑centric culture, using insight and feedback to continuously improve service.
Drive sustainable commercial performance while maintaining Screwfix’s standards of service and execution.
Participate in senior‑leader initiatives and contribute to city‑store strategy and future store formats.

Required profile

Proven experience leading multiple retail stores or large teams.
Strong analytical ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable plans.
Excellent communication and coaching skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, highly visible trading environment.
