Area Sales Manager - CNC Machine Tools

About the role

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to cover the North Midlands and North West England for an established supplier of CNC machine tools and manufacturing technology. The role involves turning technical conversations with engineers and production managers into commercial opportunities and driving sales across an existing and new customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers, understanding their production goals and recommending appropriate machine‑tool solutions.
• Represent industry‑leading brands, working closely with a technical and service team to deliver complete solutions.
• Manage a geographical sales territory, balancing existing accounts with the acquisition of new business.
• Identify and pursue commercial opportunities on the shop floor, from engineers to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in CNC machine tools, cutting tools, manufacturing technology or technical engineering sales.
• Strong commercial awareness, self‑motivation and the ability to work independently without constant supervision.
• Comfortable engaging with both shop‑floor personnel and senior management to understand production challenges.
• Based in, or able to realistically cover, the North Midlands or North West region.
