Area Sales Manager – Construction & Lifting Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Area Sales Manager to drive growth of our lifting and construction solutions across the Midlands and Southern UK. Based in the field, you will work closely with the Operations Director and the wider sales team to capture new business and expand our market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and develop new customers within construction, heavy plant and lifting sectors.
• Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate prospect and pipeline information.
• Design and execute a sales strategy for our product and service portfolio.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact to hand‑over to account managers or direct project delivery.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and market shifts to inform tactics.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience in construction, heavy equipment or lifting industries.
• Ability to work autonomously, travel frequently across the region and build strong relationships with decision‑makers.
• Strong commercial awareness and a results‑driven mindset.

Required skills

• Heavy construction equipment knowledge
• Mining and quarrying equipment familiarity
• Experience with cranes, scissor lifts and hoists
• Understanding of commercial vehicles
• CRM system usage
