Area Sales Manager - Furniture

About the role

The Area Sales Manager – Furniture Solutions will lead field sales across the North, Scotland, Ireland and occasional trips to Scandinavia. You will promote a high‑quality manufactured furniture range, primarily for the education sector, working directly with dealers, large manufacturers, LEAs, MATs, schools, colleges and universities.

Key responsibilities

• Generate revenue by selling to existing accounts and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Manage order values ranging from £3k to £150k, with typical orders of £3k‑£6k.
• Provide problem‑solving, conflict resolution and tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
• Maintain and grow a sales patch currently delivering £1m in annual revenue.
• Travel within the assigned region and to Scandinavia on a quarterly basis.

Required profile

• Proven B2B project‑led field sales experience.
• Experience selling to furniture dealers or education institutions is preferred.
• Familiarity with furniture products such as lockers, tables, chairs, stages, or similar.
• Highly motivated, self‑starter with strong time‑management and customer‑service orientation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

What we offer

• Base salary £40,000‑£50,000 plus approximately £15,000 commission.
• £6,000 car allowance and full benefits package.
