Area Sales Manager – Kitchen Worktops & Slabs

About the role

This is a field‑based sales position focused on promoting a manufactured range of large‑format slabs for kitchen worktops across the Midlands and South of England, with occasional London focus. You will act as the product champion for these slabs, building relationships with kitchen studios, retailers and fabricators.

Key responsibilities

• Sell large‑format kitchen worktop slabs to a portfolio of ~100 kitchen studios and independent retailers (≈70% of time).
• Manage and grow relationships with 10‑15 stonemasons or worktop fabricators (≈30% of time).
• Increase regional kitchen worktop revenue from £175k to £250k within the first year.
• Conduct roughly 15 customer visits per week, including overnight stays when required.
• Travel to Spain and Italy 3‑4 times a year for supplier engagement.
• Support merchandising, training and development initiatives for partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of field sales experience in kitchen worktops or related tiles/slabs.
• Proven track record selling to kitchen studios, retailers, stonemasons or worktop fabricators.
• Strong organisational and territory‑management capabilities.
• Willingness to undertake high mileage travel across the UK and occasional overseas trips.
• Hard‑working, honest and professional attitude.
