Area Sales Manager – Remote (South East England)

About the role

Our client, a designer and manufacturer of sustainable, easy‑to‑use products for residential and social housing, is seeking an Area Sales Manager for the West region. The role is fully remote/field based, reporting to the Sales Director, and focuses on business development with new prospects and existing customers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source quality leads by understanding prospect needs and matching appropriate solutions.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of distributors, installers, specifiers and project opportunities to meet revenue targets.
• Deliver product demonstrations and presentations that showcase technology benefits.
• Track projects and orders in collaboration with the Inside Sales team, ensuring accurate quoting.
• Maintain the CRM with timely updates on appointments, calls and contact information, and manage personal diary efficiently.
• Develop deep product knowledge and stay informed about target industries and audiences.
• Participate in team meetings, sharing ideas to improve overall performance.

Required profile

• Proven track record in new business development.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a B2B field sales environment (sales manager, representative, territory or area sales).
• Highly motivated, achievement‑driven with strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent influencing, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Organised, methodical, process‑driven with solid IT competence.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work across the designated postcodes.
