Area Sales Manager – Roofline & Cladding Materials

About the role

This field‑based position is responsible for promoting a leading range of roofline and cladding building materials across East Anglia and the Northern Home Counties. You will manage an established portfolio of merchants and distributors while also pursuing new projects with house builders, developers and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow relationships with national and independent merchants and specialist distributors.
• Deliver product training, organise trade days and conduct dual visits to strengthen partner engagement.
• Identify, track and win projects with regional house builders, local developers, housing associations and contractors, accounting for 30‑40% of your time.
• Ensure all sales are back‑sold through your merchant and distributor network.

Required profile

• Proven field‑sales experience, preferably within the construction sector.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and target‑driven with strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Stable career history and a desire to develop a long‑term career in construction sales.

Required skills

• Knowledge of roofline and cladding products such as fascias, soffits, guttering, drainage and exterior cladding.

• Basic salary of approximately £45,000 plus a £13,000 bonus scheme.
