Area Tenancy Manager

About the role

The Area Tenancy Manager will lead a dedicated housing portfolio in Wembley, overseeing the full tenancy lifecycle from sign‑up to termination. This temporary, full‑time position offers the chance to work within a busy housing management team, delivering high‑quality services to residents while focusing on income maximisation and arrears reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a designated housing patch, providing a visible, customer‑focused tenancy service.
• Lead income management, rent arrears recovery and tenancy sustainment initiatives.
• Conduct tenancy sign‑ups, ensuring new tenants understand their rights and responsibilities.
• Oversee lettings, void turnaround activities and property viewings.
• Support residents with benefit applications, Universal Credit and financial inclusion programmes.
• Handle day‑to‑day tenancy matters, including breaches, estate management issues and low‑level anti‑social behaviour cases.
• Carry out tenancy audits, inspections and resident visits.
• Collaborate with residents, councillors, contractors and partner agencies to deliver excellent housing services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in social housing, housing management or tenancy management.
• Strong track record in income collection and rent arrears management.
• Experience of end‑to‑end tenancy management and lettings processes.
• Knowledge of welfare benefits, Universal Credit and tenancy sustainment strategies.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise a busy workload and manage a housing patch effectively.
