Art & Design Technology Technician (Full‑Time) – Greenwich

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Art & Design Technology Technician to join a supportive secondary school in Greenwich. The role is full‑time, five days a week, and involves preparing and maintaining the art and DT learning environments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare materials, equipment and resources for Art and Design Technology lessons.
• Maintain workshops, studios and specialist equipment to a high standard.
• Support teachers and students during practical sessions.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed, including COSHH compliance and risk assessments.
• Manage stock levels, order supplies and keep equipment records up to date.
• Assist with the set‑up of displays, exhibitions and school events.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Art and/or Design Technology Technician.
• Strong practical knowledge across both disciplines.
• A relevant degree is preferred.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive, flexible and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
