Art & Photography Teacher – Secondary School (KS3‑4)

About the role

Prospero Teaching, in partnership with a well‑regarded secondary school in Bridgwater, is seeking a creative and experienced Art & Photography Teacher for Key Stages 3 and 4. This temp‑to‑perm position starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to inspire students while developing your own career within a supportive department.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Art and Photography lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Encourage experimentation with a variety of media and techniques.
• Develop students' visual literacy, critical thinking and personal creative voice.
• Maintain strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Contribute to a collaborative, high‑performing Art & Design department.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching Art and/or Photography at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the arts.
• Team‑focused attitude with willingness to share best practice.
• Commitment to the belief that every student can succeed.
