About the role
Reed Education is looking for a dynamic Art Teacher to join a secondary school in Blackpool from September. The role is full‑time and long‑term, focusing on delivering engaging art lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils while supporting a vibrant creative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative Art lessons for KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience advantageous).
- Inspire and motivate students using strong subject knowledge.
- Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
- Assess, monitor and record student progress.
- Participate in in‑service training and professional development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere that encourages participation.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Recent experience teaching Art at KS3/KS4 level; KS5 experience a plus.
- Excellent classroom practitioner with robust management skills.
- Reliable, committed, compassionate and trustworthy.
- Strong interpersonal skills, punctual, patient and confident working with children.
