About the role
We are partnering with a well‑regarded secondary school in East London to hire an enthusiastic Art Teacher for a September 2026 start. The role involves delivering the Art curriculum to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated Art lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Assess, monitor and track student progress, preparing them for GCSE examinations.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student wellbeing.
- Contribute to departmental development, enrichment activities and school‑wide artistic initiatives.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Art in a UK secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for visual arts.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
