Art Teacher – Supply & Long‑Term Roles in Manchester

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified Art & Design teachers to cover supply and longer‑term placements across schools in Greater Manchester. You will inspire pupils, deliver engaging lessons and help them develop their creative skills while enjoying flexible working patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned Art & Design lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
• Maintain a safe, tidy classroom environment and manage student behaviour.
• For long‑term assignments, plan, prepare and mark work in line with the school curriculum.
• Adapt teaching approaches to suit the needs of each school and pupil.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) with a specialism in Art & Design.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Relevant professional references and, where applicable, overseas police checks.

Required skills

• Ability to plan, deliver and assess Art & Design curriculum.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work across multiple schools in the Manchester area.
