About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Art Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) setting in East London. Working closely with experienced teachers, you will help students explore their creativity while supporting their emotional wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in delivering art lessons and creative interventions.
- Prepare and organise art materials and resources.
- Encourage active student participation and expression.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, fostering confidence.
- Support behaviour management and emotional regulation.
Required profile
- Relevant art qualification or demonstrable experience.
- Experience working with SEMH, SEND or alternative provision settings.
- Creative mindset with a patient, calm approach.
- DBS clearance required.
