About the role
We are looking for a qualified Art and Textiles Teacher to join our faith‑based secondary school in Loughton for a short‑term, full‑time assignment from September until 16 October. The role offers the chance to inspire a diverse community of Christian and Jewish students while upholding the school’s values.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Art and Textiles lessons.
- Assess student progress and record outcomes for evaluations.
- Maintain a creative and orderly classroom environment.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to enrich the curriculum.
- Manage classroom resources and ensure a tidy workspace.
- Promote and respect the faith‑based ethos in all interactions.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Experience teaching Art and Textiles at secondary level.
- Strong organisational and communication abilities.
- Capability to foster a positive learning atmosphere and manage behaviour.
- Passion for creative teaching methods.
- Understanding and respect for the school’s religious values.
