Asbestos Surveyor & Air Tester

About the role

The position is for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor and Air Tester to work across commercial, industrial, domestic and public sector sites throughout the South West. You will operate independently while receiving support from an established UKAS‑accredited consultancy, ensuring all work meets the highest health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Perform air monitoring, four‑stage clearances, reassurance testing and leak testing according to HSG248.
• Collect bulk asbestos samples and produce accurate survey reports.
• Generate compliant analytical reports following air testing.
• Manage your own workload and daily schedule, ensuring compliance with current asbestos legislation and HSE guidance.

Required profile

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (essential).
• 3‑4 years’ experience as an Asbestos Surveyor or Air Tester.
• Strong knowledge of HSG264, HSG248 and current asbestos legislation.
• Excellent written communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and a professional, reliable approach.
