Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst – Manchester

About the role

Penguin Recruitment is supporting a UKAS‑accredited asbestos consultancy in Manchester, looking for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst. The role offers a balanced mix of surveying and analytical duties across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and public sector sites. You will work independently and as part of a skilled team, delivering high‑quality asbestos services while complying with legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Perform air monitoring, leak testing, reassurance testing and 4‑stage clearances following HSG248.
• Collect bulk asbestos samples and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Prepare accurate asbestos survey and analytical reports for a variety of client properties.
• Manage your own workload with support from the operations team while maintaining health & safety standards.

Required profile

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (essential).
• Proven experience as an Asbestos Surveyor or Analyst.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248 and current asbestos legislation.
• Professional, organised and reliable work approach.

Required skills

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 certifications.
• Knowledge of HSG264 and HSG248 guidelines.
• Experience with air monitoring and asbestos clearance testing.
