Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst – Newcastle

About the role

Penguin Recruitment is supporting a well‑established environmental consultancy in Newcastle to hire a dual‑skilled Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst. The successful candidate will manage a busy portfolio of commercial, industrial and domestic asbestos projects, delivering high‑quality surveys and analytical reports while complying with UKAS standards and HSE guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Perform air monitoring, 4‑stage clearances, personal monitoring and re‑occupation certification.
• Produce accurate, compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports for a variety of client sites.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and internal teams, ensuring health & safety and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with UKAS accreditation requirements and HSE guidance.

Required profile

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (essential).
• Proven experience in a dual Surveyor / Analyst role within a UKAS‑accredited consultancy.
• Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication and organisational skills.
