Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst – Waltham Cross

About the role

Penguin Recruitment is supporting a UKAS‑accredited asbestos consultancy in Waltham Cross, seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst. The role involves delivering high‑quality asbestos surveys and analytical services across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and public sector sites in London and the Home Counties.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Perform air monitoring, four‑stage clearances, reassurance testing, leak testing and smoke testing per HSG248.
• Collect bulk asbestos samples and produce accurate survey reports.
• Generate compliant analytical reports.
• Manage own diary and workload efficiently.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Ensure all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance and UKAS procedures.

Required profile

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (essential).
• Proven experience as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst.
• Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248 and current asbestos legislation.
• Experience within a UKAS‑accredited consultancy (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication, organisational and report‑writing skills.
• Professional, reliable and quality‑focused approach.
