Asbestos Surveyor – Bristol & South West

About the role

Penguin Recruitment is supporting a well‑established asbestos consultancy in Bristol to hire an experienced Asbestos Surveyor. The role involves delivering high‑quality asbestos surveys across commercial and mixed‑use properties throughout Bristol and the wider South West, with a focus on compliance and client service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R/D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Survey commercial and mixed‑use buildings and conduct bulk asbestos sampling.
• Produce accurate, compliant asbestos survey reports.
• Manage own workload across multiple client sites and liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Ensure all work adheres to current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance and UKAS procedures.

Required profile

• BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven experience as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS‑accredited consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• BOHS P402 certification.
• Understanding of HSG264 guidelines.
