Asbestos Surveyor – Commercial & Public Sector Projects

About the role

Penguin Recruitment is supporting a well‑established asbestos consultancy to hire an experienced Asbestos Surveyor for the Central Belt of Scotland. You will work on a varied portfolio of commercial, industrial and public sector properties, delivering high‑quality surveys while ensuring full compliance with legislation and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Conduct bulk asbestos sampling following company procedures.
• Produce accurate, compliant asbestos survey reports.
• Manage your own workload across multiple client sites.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Ensure all work adheres to current legislation and HSE guidance.

Required profile

• BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven experience as an Asbestos Surveyor.
• Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation and compliance.
• Ability to work independently in a field‑based role.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Professional, reliable and quality‑focused approach.
