Asbestos Surveyor – Field Based Role

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Asbestos Surveyor to carry out field‑based asbestos management surveys across a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. You will work to HSG264 standards, ensuring compliance and supporting effective asset management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct asbestos management surveys in domestic and commercial properties.
• Perform refurbishment, demolition and re‑inspection surveys when required.
• Produce accurate survey reports and maintain high‑quality records.
• Manage your own diary to meet operational targets.
• Provide technical advice on asbestos findings to customers and contractors.
• Maintain digital records using Microsoft Office and asset‑management systems.
• Support the wider surveying team to ensure consistent data quality.

Required profile

• P402 qualification (or equivalent recognised asbestos surveying qualification).
• Proven experience carrying out asbestos surveys within occupied domestic properties.
• Excellent knowledge of HSG264 and best practice.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Experience in the housing association or social housing sector is advantageous but not essential.
