Asbestos Surveyor (Permanent)

About the role

A well‑established UKAS‑accredited asbestos consultancy is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to support a busy and growing workload across Chelmsford, Essex and the wider South East region. This permanent, full‑time role offers a competitive salary, varied projects and long‑term career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Conduct bulk sampling and accurately record site information.
• Produce clear and compliant asbestos survey reports.
• Work across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential and public sector properties.
• Manage own workload across Chelmsford and surrounding areas, liaising with clients, contractors and site personnel.

Required profile

• BOHS P402 certification (essential).
• Previous experience as an Asbestos Surveyor.
• Strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and report‑writing skills; professional, organised and reliable.
