About the role
Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people with autism and helping them reach their full potential? A welcoming specialist school in West Berkshire is looking for a committed ASD Support Assistant to join the team as soon as possible.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with autism and additional needs.
- Support pupils with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
- Help pupils engage positively with classroom activities and learning.
- Assist in implementing personalised strategies and routines.
- Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with autism or other special educational needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants and specialist support staff.
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
