ASD Teaching Assistant – Maidenhead

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic ASD Teaching Assistant to support young people with autism spectrum disorder and additional needs in a specialist secondary SEN school in Maidenhead. This role offers recent psychology graduates valuable hands‑on experience before pursuing a career in psychology, education or therapy. The position involves working within a supportive team to deliver tailored interventions that promote independence and academic progress.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to students with ASD.
• Support students with learning, communication, and emotional regulation.
• Help students build confidence and independence.
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff.
• Monitor students' progress, wellbeing, and engagement.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment.

• Confident and able to communicate effectively.
