Asphalt Plant Operator

About the role

Breedon Group is looking for an Asphalt Plant Operator to join its Carlisle site. Reporting to the Asphalt Plant Manager, you will be responsible for batching asphalt, performing routine maintenance and ensuring safe, efficient plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Batch asphalt and carry out general maintenance of the plant.
• Operate a loading shovel and weighbridge in line with safety and operational procedures.
• Support day‑to‑day site operations and promote the company’s safety culture.
• Run plant systems according to established procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience within an asphalt plant is beneficial.
• Positive attitude towards health and safety.
• Flexibility and adaptability in work approach.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure.
• Willingness to work occasional night shifts.
