Aspiring Child Counsellor – Term‑time Support for SEN Students

About the role
This position offers aspiring child counsellors the chance to work with vulnerable students aged 11‑19 in Addlestone. You will support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and a range of social, emotional and mental health challenges, helping them improve engagement, attainment and life chances.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and group counselling sessions for SEN students.
- Identify risks and needs, escalating safeguarding concerns when required.
- Develop and deliver tools and strategies to promote safety, confidence and resilience.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate wellbeing plans into daily school life.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reports.
Required profile
- Passionate about helping children and young people reach their potential.
- Ability to build trusting relationships and remain calm under pressure.
- Willingness to commute to Addlestone and work on‑site.
- GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.
- Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).

- Day rate of £93‑£105 (Mon‑Fri, 08:30‑15:30) on a PAYE basis, term‑time only.
