Aspiring Educational Psychologist

About the role

This position is designed for psychology graduates or undergraduates who want hands‑on experience before pursuing postgraduate study or a career in educational psychology. Based in a welcoming school in Chippenham, you will support children with a range of special educational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group mentoring for pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech‑language difficulties.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and social skill development.
• Assist children in developing coping strategies and resilience.

Required profile

• A degree in psychology or a related discipline.
• Genuine passion for child development, SEN, and psychology.
• Patient, resilient, and compassionate attitude.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
