Aspiring Educational Psychologist – Learning Support Assistant

About the role

This position is for an aspiring Educational Psychologist who will work as a Learning Support Assistant in a specialist school for students aged 11‑19 with special educational needs. You will support children with ASD, SEMH and related challenging behaviours, working closely with a multidisciplinary therapy team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to students with SEN.
• Plan and deliver learning activities tailored to individual abilities.
• Encourage development of social skills and provide academic and pastoral assistance.
• Collaborate with qualified Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
• Assist in delivering blended therapeutic interventions across the curriculum.

Required profile

• Willingness to work 1:1 and in small groups with students.
• Ability to plan learning activities with teacher support.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
• Right to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship offered.

Required skills

• £93‑£105 per day, dependent on skills and experience.
• Five‑day work week (Monday‑Friday) on‑site.
