Assembler – Cable Shop (Temp to Perm)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established manufacturing business in Braintree, is looking for a reliable Assembler to join their Cable Shop team. This temporary position offers the chance to work on a variety of cable‑assembly projects with the possibility of permanent employment.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble cables and components according to specifications and work orders.
• Measure, cut, strip, crimp, solder and wrap cables.
• Perform electrical continuity and insulation testing.
• Carry out visual quality inspections and report any defects.
• Maintain production documentation and adhere to daily schedules.
• Keep the work area clean, safe and organised, following H&S procedures.
• Assist with general production duties and meet productivity targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing or production is preferred.
• Physical fitness for manual handling, heavy lifting and long periods of standing.
• Reliable, flexible and able to work independently or as part of a team.
