Assembly Operative – Electrical Panels & Transformers

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Assembly Operatives to join our client’s production team in Newbury on a temporary basis. The role runs Monday‑Thursday 8:00‑16:40 and Friday 8:00‑15:00, offering an hourly rate of £13.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble electrical control panels and transformer enclosures.
• Cut, strip and terminate cables to specification.
• Perform transformer winding using specialised equipment (training provided).
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics to wire transformers and related components.
• Test finished products, conduct resistance and continuity checks, and report any faults.
• Receive, check and store incoming goods, pick parts for production, and pack finished items for dispatch.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow all health‑and‑safety procedures.
