Assembly Operator

About the role

We are looking for an Assembly Operator to join a well‑established engineering and manufacturing business in Cheltenham. You will work on high‑precision electronic and mechanical components that are used in aerospace and defence applications, ensuring every product meets strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble high‑precision electronic and mechanical parts according to engineering drawings.
• Perform wiring, crimping and soldering tasks using specialist equipment.
• Build assemblies with hand tools and specialised machinery.
• Carry out inspections and functional testing to verify quality.
• Complete manufacturing and traceability documentation accurately.
• Handle highly sensitive components for aerospace and defence projects.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Confidence using hand tools and specialist equipment.
• Accurate completion of manufacturing and traceability paperwork.
• Previous soldering experience.
