Asset Data Manager

About the role

The Asset Data Manager will report to the Head of Strategic Asset Management and lead the Asset Data Team. This role is responsible for shaping data‑driven investment plans, supporting the Repairs and Investment Senior Management Team, and delivering a customer‑focused service to residents.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the Asset Data Team, managing up to two direct staff and external consultants.
• Analyse stock performance, identify intervention or disinvestment actions, and develop five‑year investment plans aligned with RBG’s 30‑year strategy.
• Collaborate with Repairs and Investment, Housing, Safer Communities, and Council departments to plan and deliver capital works programmes.
• Maintain accurate stock condition data linked to maintenance records, supporting responsive, cyclical, and programmed maintenance.
• Monitor trends in responsive repairs and voids to improve efficiency and reduce demand.
• Manage resources, balancing capital and revenue streams to maximise stock improvement and long‑term savings.
• Deputise for the Head of Strategic Asset Management as required.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable knowledge of asset management legislation, systems and procedures (e.g., DHS, Code for Sustainable Homes).
• Experience in asset management planning and stakeholder engagement within housing or real‑estate contexts.
