Asset Data Manager – Strategic Asset Management

About the role
Our local authority client in South London is seeking an experienced Asset Data Manager to lead the Asset Data Team. The role reports to the Head of Strategic Asset Management and focuses on delivering data‑driven investment planning for the council’s housing portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for the Asset Data Team, ensuring a customer‑focused service to residents.
- Develop and maintain five‑year investment plans aligned with the council’s 30‑year strategic plan.
- Analyse trends in responsive repairs and voids to improve efficiency and reduce demand.
- Conduct holistic performance analysis of the housing stock and recommend actions for intervention or disinvestment.
- Collaborate with Repairs and Investment senior managers and other council departments to plan and deliver capital works programmes.
- Maintain accurate stock condition data linked to maintenance records to inform future requirements.
Required profile
- Degree‑level education or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Demonstrable knowledge of asset management legislation and standards (e.g., DHS, Code for Sustainable Homes).
- Understanding of long‑term maintenance strategies and business planning.
