Assistant Accountant – Finance Support

About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a growing tech‑based business in Flitwick. The position is aimed at ACCA/CIMA part‑qualified candidates with around two years of finance experience who are eager to develop their expertise within a dynamic finance team.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare management accounts and perform variance analysis with commentary.
- Execute balance‑sheet reconciliations, accruals and pre‑payments.
- Submit VAT returns and handle month‑end closing tasks.
- Provide business partnering and decision‑support to various departments.
- Deliver ad‑hoc finance support as required.
Required profile
- Part‑qualified ACCA or CIMA.
- Approximately two years of finance experience.
- Own vehicle for commuting to the rural office.
- Motivated self‑learner keen to progress.
Required skills
- Strong Excel proficiency.
- Experience with Xero or QuickBooks (useful).
