Assistant Accountant - Financial Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a part‑qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant to join a busy finance team in Morley. The Assistant Accountant will play a central role in month‑end close, balance‑sheet reconciliations and a variety of reporting tasks, offering a broad exposure to financial accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end accruals, pre‑payments, journal entries, bank reconciliations and FX postings with variance commentary.
• Manage fixed assets and capital accounting, including lease and vehicle invoice coding.
• Handle intercompany accounting, reconciliations and related reporting.
• Support customs duty compliance and act as finance contact for international trade queries.
• Cover cash‑flow reporting, daily banking processes and assist with statutory reporting, tax work and audit documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements and ad‑hoc finance projects.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACCA or CIMA candidate.
• Solid grounding in accounting principles with month‑end and reconciliation experience.
• High level of integrity and discretion with confidential financial information.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle competing deadlines.
• Collaborative, self‑starting attitude.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
