About the role

Mitchell Adam is partnering with a rapidly growing UK business to recruit an Assistant Accountant for its expanding finance team. The role offers the chance to work in a fast‑paced, evolving environment, taking ownership of core finance activities while supporting day‑to‑day accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting tasks and ensure smooth financial operations.
• Take ownership of key finance processes and support their continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to provide accurate financial information.
• Identify and implement process improvements where required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships across departments.
• Proactive, organised approach with a willingness to support the wider business.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of accounting software.
• Confidence using Microsoft Excel.
