Assistant Acoustic Consultant

About the role

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Acoustic Consultant for a well‑established environmental consultancy in London. The position is ideal for a graduate or early‑career acoustician who wants to develop practical skills across a varied portfolio of commercial, residential, education, healthcare, infrastructure and mixed‑use projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with environmental noise surveys and ongoing monitoring programmes.
• Support architectural and building‑services acoustics assessments.
• Prepare technical reports, acoustic calculations and documentation.
• Undertake site visits, liaise with clients and coordinate with project teams.
• Help senior consultants deliver projects from inception through to completion.

Required profile

• A degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in building and environmental acoustics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High organisational ability and attention to detail.
• A full UK driving licence is desirable.
