Assistant Branch Manager Designate

About the role

Travis Perkins, the UK's largest builders merchant, is recruiting an Assistant Branch Manager Designate in Basingstoke. The role supports the Branch Manager and plays a key part in the branch's success. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 12pm and every other Saturday 8am to 12pm (40 hours per week).

Key responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager in managing all aspects of the branch and its business.
• Help coach the team to deliver the highest standards of customer service.
• Act as a key contact for customers, offering expert advice, recommending alternatives and maximising sales.
• Ensure colleagues and customers leave the branch safely by following safety policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a builders' merchant is advantageous but not essential.
• Inspirational leadership, operational management, sales, great customer service and commercial acumen.
• Able to delegate and empower colleagues, with adaptability, resilience and an entrepreneurial spirit.
