Assistant Building Surveyor – Graduate Role

About the role

RLB is seeking a Graduate Assistant Building Surveyor to join its client‑focused team in Edinburgh. The role offers a two‑year Future Professionals programme with structured training, mentoring and the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, education, sports, nuclear and retail projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver core surveying services across a range of property types, including dilapidations, lease advice and pre‑acquisition surveys.
• Assist in formulating designs, specifications and contract administration to support client estates.
• Provide specialist advice on fire safety and other regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a RICS‑accredited degree.
• Client‑focused, positive collaborator who freely shares knowledge and supports peers.
• Team player with a strong willingness to learn and a proactive approach to customer service.
