Assistant Building Surveyor – Structured APC Support

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Building Surveyor to join a well‑established consultancy operating across the UK. The role offers structured APC support and a clear pathway to chartership, working alongside senior surveyors on diverse projects.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out building surveying instructions across healthcare, residential, commercial, retail and education sectors.
• Assist with surveys, defect analysis and report writing.
• Support preparation of specifications and tender documentation.
• Attend site inspections and monitor project progress.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Contribute to project delivery from inception through to completion.

Required profile

• RICS‑accredited Building Surveying degree.
• Experience in a building surveying consultancy role.
• Currently working towards APC or eager to start.
• Strong technical understanding of core surveying services.
• Good communication, collaborative approach and attention to detail.
