Assistant Buyer

About the role

Dune London is seeking a proactive Assistant Buyer to support the Buyer in sourcing and developing a balanced product range for its footwear and accessories portfolio. You will play a key part in meeting planning deadlines through effective supply‑chain coordination and strategic supplier management.

Key responsibilities

• Source and develop new products, contributing to the department’s range alongside the Buyer.
• Collect and analyse market data to identify trends and competitive positioning.
• Plan and control the critical path for each season’s buying activity, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Maintain the in‑house order database, visual catalogues and sample processes.
• Oversee shipping and forecasted stock intake to maximise efficiency and cost control.
• Supervise the Buyer’s Assistant to ensure timely specification and order generation.
• Prepare weekly sales packs, end‑of‑season analysis and SWOT reports.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers, leading regular meetings and responding to product queries.

Required profile

• Commercially minded with a strong interest in fashion footwear and accessories.
• Ability to interpret market data and translate insights into product decisions.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for internal collaboration and supplier relationship building.
