Assistant Buyer

About the role

Join the Cotswold Outdoor Group as an Assistant Buyer and help shape profitable Snowsports and Camping product ranges. This hybrid position requires you to spend at least three days a week in the new sustainable office at 1 Newbridge Square, Swindon.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Seasonal Buyer in developing and delivering product ranges.
• Analyse sales performance, market trends and competitor activity to inform commercial decisions.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, assisting with negotiations to optimise cost, margin and product performance.
• Prepare and present range reviews, seasonal analysis and sign‑off presentations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, Visual Merchandising and Digital teams for product launches and campaigns.
• Monitor weekly trading performance and KPIs, providing actionable insights.
• Manage product sample processes and support seasonal photoshoots.
• Deputise for the Buyer when required and represent the category at supplier meetings, trade fairs and store visits.
