Assistant Clinical Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Clinical Operations Manager to support the day‑to‑day operational leadership of a prestigious Harley Street ophthalmic clinic. Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager, you will work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure seamless clinic flow and an outstanding patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily operational management of the clinic, coordinating administrative, reception and operational teams.
• Ensure clinical rooms, equipment, consumables and patient areas are prepared to the highest standards.
• Assist with appointment coordination, patient journeys, clinic scheduling and operational planning.
• Manage stock control, procurement, supplier relationships and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with consultants, nurses, optometrists and administrative staff to optimise clinic efficiency.
• Drive service‑improvement initiatives and develop standard operating procedures.
• Monitor clinic performance, patient flow and operational efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with CQC, GDPR, health‑and‑safety, infection‑prevention and clinical‑governance requirements.
• Support incident reporting, audits, risk assessments and inspection readiness.
• Assist with rota planning, recruitment, induction, training and team development.

Required profile

• Experience in clinic operations, practice management, healthcare operations or a similar role within private healthcare or a premium service environment.

• Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £45,000 per year, dependent on experience.
