Assistant Commercial Manager – Retail Produce

About the role

This position supports the Commercial and Produce Specialist teams in delivering accurate range changes, planogram creation and forecasting for the Produce category. Based primarily in Wimbledon with regular time at the M&S Paddington Head Office, the role blends account management with display planning to drive commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Commercial team in managing the key retail account and executing joint business and category plans.
• Maintain and report on customer data, KPIs and sales, and own short‑ and long‑term sales forecasts.
• Handle promotional planning, ensuring data accuracy and clear communication.
• Manage the customer portal, generate codes and update product information in Prophet.
• Lead customer reporting and insight distribution, including sales, promotional and KPI summaries.
• Attend weekly WAM meetings, support SRD engagement and manage the Weekly Range Change process.
• Ensure planograms are accurate, cost‑effective and meet display principles, addressing space gaps and quality checks.
