Assistant Contracts Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Contracts Manager to support the delivery of high‑end residential garden and landscape projects. This position is ideal for a seasoned landscaping foreman or supervisor ready to transition off‑site and take on contract management responsibilities for projects ranging from £30k to £300k.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple luxury garden projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to exact specifications.
• Oversee day‑to‑day site operations, maintaining the company’s high standards for quality and safety.
• Prepare detailed quotes from design documents using Excel and manage procurement of long‑lead‑time materials.
• Produce monthly project reports, tracking progress, resources, and performance metrics for senior management.
• Utilise MS Project and email tools to coordinate tasks and communicate with clients, designers, and the internal team.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a landscaping foreman or supervisor on hard‑landscaping projects.
• Ability to interpret detailed designs and translate them into accurate cost estimates.
• Strong organisational skills with a focus on quality, deadlines, and health & safety compliance.
• Willingness to learn new processes in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency for quoting and reporting.
• Competence in using MS Project for schedule management.
