Assistant Financial Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join our Head Office in Thame. The role offers a competitive salary up to £35k, a company bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. You will work in a fast‑paced finance team, supporting month‑end and year‑end processes while developing your professional qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and manage fixed‑asset accounting.
• Submit working‑capital, P&L and balance‑sheet reports to the parent company on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Produce company forecasts and support the preparation of statutory accounts for each entity.
• Assist with Sarbanes‑Oxley testing, audit support and specific projects to improve financial controls.

Required profile

• Experience working in a financial environment.
• Currently studying ACA, CIMA or ACCA (support provided for qualification).
• Comfortable interacting with clients and building rapport quickly.
• Ability to work under tight month‑end and quarter‑end deadlines.
