Assistant Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to join our growing international business in Warrington. The role supports senior finance leadership across multiple business units, focusing on performance reporting, financial controls and integration of newly acquired companies.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and maintain financial scorecards, dashboards and management reports.
• Deliver financial analysis to aid business decision‑making.
• Review and improve internal control processes and compliance procedures.
• Assist with group and statutory reporting requirements.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Collaborate with operational and shared‑service teams.
• Manage and monitor stock and work‑in‑progress controls.
• Contribute to acquisition and business integration projects.
• Assist with financial system implementations and data migrations.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or advanced part‑qualified).
• Minimum five years of finance and accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative approach with strong communication abilities.
