Assistant Garment Technologist (Hybrid, 1 day remote)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and detail‑oriented Assistant Garment Technologist to support our premium womenswear product team. You will work closely with senior Garment Technologists to ensure every garment meets the highest standards of fit, quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Garment Technologists throughout product development, from initial samples to production.
• Prepare samples, take accurate fit notes and update fit comments during sessions.
• Measure garments against technical specifications and size charts.
• Maintain technical files, specifications and product records.
• Liaise with Design, Buying and Production teams to ensure clear communication.
• Review sample quality, construction and workmanship, escalating issues as needed.
• Communicate fit, construction and quality feedback to suppliers.
• Support garment testing, care‑label approvals and compliance documentation.
• Track samples and approvals to meet critical‑path deadlines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of fit consistency and product quality.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Junior Garment Tech or Technical Assistant role within womenswear.
• Qualification in Clothing Technology, Fashion or a related field (desirable).
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics and fit.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams and with suppliers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Garment measurement and interpretation of technical specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with PLM or product‑management systems (advantage).
