Assistant Grower – Seasonal Role at Regenerative Farm

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Grower to join our small regenerative farm team for the 2025 season. You will work on all aspects of vegetable production, from propagation to harvest, and support the team in delivering high-quality, chemical-free produce.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the full cycle of vegetable production, including propagation, planting, and harvesting.
• Prepare and maintain no-dig beds and tractor-cultivated beds.
• Operate farm tractors and other equipment as required.
• Participate in regular crop walks, meetings and share ideas for continuous improvement.
• Support sales and distribution of produce to the farm shop and local partners.

Required profile

• At least one full season of commercial vegetable growing experience.
• Willingness to take on increasing responsibility within a team.
• Ability to work Monday-Thursday, 7 am‑4 pm, with occasional weekend cover.
• Commitment to regenerative, chemical-free farming practices.

What we offer

• Fixed-term contract from mid-March to end-October 2025.
• £12.25 per hour PAYE, plus statutory holiday pay and employer pension contributions.
• Four-day work week (Mon‑Thu) with occasional weekend days in lieu.
